OWNER / Having carved out a career in professional football, Ben Camara wanted his next career step to allow him to continue working in the field that he was passionate about, that of health, fitness and nutrition. After meeting co-founder Harry Thomas whilst working together as Personal Trainers at a gym chain, they joined forces to apply their own knowledge and expertise to a unique, bespoke Personal Training offering. Five years later, the award-winning No1 Fitness is going from strength to strength. Ben's own high level of expertise and success in transforming the human body is reflected in his title as Men's Health Champion Trainer, a sought-after recognition from some of the top experts in the industry. It is the holistic, in-depth approach to training that won him this award, and it is exactly this formula that makes No1 Fitness unique. Ben is passionate about ensuring that all clients receive the same level of service, from the chemistry session on arrival to set the best personality match with their Trainer, to the ongoing care and advice offered to help them reach their goals. Ben now couples his work in developing No1 Fitness with training a small number of clients on request, often flying across the globe to work with them on location. He has a host of high profile clients under his belt, from a renowned British supermodel to a globally famous singer.

Harry Thomas

OWNER / Harry Thomas has always displayed a passion for sport, not to mention an entrepreneurial streak. As a teenager, when he wasn't playing football, he could be found running the import business he'd set up on eBay! As an adult, Harry has succeeded in coupling his love for fitness with business after setting up No1 Fitness with Ben, working together to drive its growth over the years. Harry is a big believer in the importance of getting the people right above all else when building an effective Personal Training service. He cites the rigorous training that all team members undergo as being central to the unique No1 Fitness ethos, and firmly believes that it is this that has brought about the amazing client transformations that they're now renowned for. Harry's own clients include Grammy nominated singer/songwriter MNEK, alongside journalists from an array of titles such as The Sun, City AM and Canary Wharf Magazine, all of whom can testify to his dedication and passion. His focus now is to continue to build the No1 Fitness team, something he hopes to drive by producing more highly educated Personal Trainers via No1 Fitness Education.

Damian Syers

PERSONAL TRAINER / Damian has had a great love for fitness and sports activities from a young age, he competed as a county level middle distance athlete and also competed in various combat sports including kung-fu, kickboxing and Muai Thai! Damian’s love for fitness encouraged him to share his passion with people to improve their confidence and self-esteem levels. He believes that through physical training and commitment, people feel the same passion about living a healthy lifestyle! He enjoys making his client’s feel better about themselves and this shines through in each of his sessions. His ability to push both mind and body boundaries will show you that anything is possible. Combined with his energy and passion for fitness he will encourage you to work hard and be able to see the changes for yourself. Not only will his sessions push you to your limits, but you will enjoy every minute with his friendly, enthusiastic and encouraging approach! You wont be working hard because you have to - but because you WANT to! Not only will he transform your body, he will also transform your mind set!

PERSONAL TRAINER / Having started training from 15, Chad always knew a career in health and fitness was for him. With a passion for strength training, Chad is a big advocate of resistance-based training for results. For Chad seeing the client grow stronger and change their physique is really satisfying and seeing clients become more confident. Chad says that his favourite thing about working at No1 Fitness is the results driven environment to work in, making it a friendly, inviting and great place for clients to transform.

Kari Oyenuga

PERSONAL TRAINER / Health and wellness is at the center of Kari’s life. She believes it is an integrated process of physical activity, mental reflection, social engagement, and emotional awareness. Her exercise programs utilize functional movement along with specific strengthening and flexibility exercises to achieve balanced physical function. Her goal isn’t to make her clients follow a set routine, but rather to discover the fitness activities that each client finds engaging, rewarding and most importantly get results. Whether you are training for your wedding - or just training for fitness, Kari can get you on the right track. Athletics has always been a part of Kari’s Life, starting with 100-meter races and long jump as a young child. She eventually went into coaching kids and found that she loved empowering people through fitness and expressive movement. This led to her study Sports science at Brunel University, where she then qualified as a personal trainer. When she is not in the gym throwing around some weights, she also enjoys, cooking delicious world foods, snowboarding and life drawing. / Specialism: Strength Training, Sport-Specific Training, Pre and Postnatal, Special Populations

PERSONAL TRAINER / Not content with settling for a career in the medical field, Jamie has made it his lifelong goal to set out and help people achieve their health and fitness goals. Seeing people get results is what really drives him to succeed in life. Jamie does not want to see people make the same mistakes he has and waste their time getting nowhere in the gym. He is aware people have busy lives who do not put health and fitness as a priority, therefore he wants to provide a service that shortens the process for you but gets you the results you are after. All you have to do on your end is follow the nutrition plan and lift some damn weight! On top of muscle gain and fat loss, where he excels is in his knowledge of powerlifting – his own personal goal is to reach elite status and compete worldwide in raw powerlifting. Additionally, Jamie has a background in mixed martial arts and muay thai.

PERSONAL TRAINER / I can't remember past the age of 3 not having a tennis racket in my hand, kicking a football, swimming, diving, running, you name it, anything that got my blood pumping and adrenaline to the max id be doing it and still am. I went on to play professional football and tennis for many years until injury struck and that's where my focus and love of training turned to helping other people. I have been in the industry for the better part of 15 years now constantly further educating myself along the way and have been fortunate enough to help a wide range of clients from professional athletes, clinically obese and eating disorders to name a few. I truly believe in training from the inside out and being the best version of yourself you can possibly be. Trying to be someone else or looking like someone else is pointless, they are already taken. This philosophy alone has taken my own personal journey to new heights and helped all my clients reach their true potential and goals. Get to know yourself inside out, listen to your body and the rest will follow. PERSONAL TRAINER / Ashton comes to us from New Zealand with a degree in sport science majoring in Exercise prescription and training. During his years in the fitness industry he has worked with some world renowned trainers including Eion Lacey, Jeff Willoughby, Chad Wesley Smith and Brandon Lilly. His experience and knowledge allows him to get results time and again in a variety of disciplines. With a huge passion for lifting Ashton’s inspiration came from having the ability to help clients make a meaningful investment in their health “Strength development is where I strive to specialise". Having the ability to make people stronger than they ever thought possible is what really motivates Ashton with resistance training. Ashton has had many huge success stories and is one of our experts when it comes to power lifting. His proudest moment as a trainer however is helping a client fully come off 2 blood pressure medications and 1 cholesterol medication, while also losing 20kg. All this after his GP told him he would be on this medication for life.

PERSONAL TRAINER / Liam has played for professional and semi professional football clubs from an early age. From then it was inevitable he would progress into the industry of Health and Fitness, specifically Personal Training. Being determined to bridge the gap between the professional athlete and city professional is instrumental to how Liam thinks. He relates the two through training and positive coaching, changing the perception of unattainable aesthetic physiques and mindsets. Changes can be achieved through a series of small steps. Liam specialises in weight loss, movement, body transformations and sports specific training. Often mentioned as the "driving force" behind his passion, taking a client's confidence from 0-100 in multiple aspects of their lives along with their chosen transformations process. His proudest moment as a trainer is working with a client to lose 10kg in preparation for his wedding, it brings Liam much fulfilment witnessing a client completely change.

PERSONAL TRAINER / Over the 15 years I have gained valuable knowledge and experience from being both a professional football player and performance dancer. The skills I have gained from the competitive edge associated with professional sport, and the dedication of performance dance, leave me ideally placed to assist others in achieving their own fitness goals. Over the past 5 years as a trainer I have gained a lot of experience and learnt a lot about the nutrition side of getting results and the mental blocks that can pop up with different people. I take great pride in supporting others and use a passionate and dedicated approach. I provide a service that is very thorough and personalised to each individual's needs and requirements. I really enjoy helping people and I take great satisfaction when people reach those goals.

PERSONAL TRAINER / Mark has a degree in BSc Sports Science so takes an evidence based approach to both training and nutrition. Having stepped on stage and competed in physique competitions himself, Mark specialises in optimising body composition;whether that be muscle gain, fat loss, or a combination of the two. Taking himself down to very low body fat percentages in the past means he is also aware of what it takes not only physically, but psychologically as well to go through an extreme body transformation, so will be able to support you the whole way! He also has a huge passion for nutrition and is now a fully qualified nutritionist. As nutrition takes such an important role in any body transformation, this is a huge benefit when training with Mark.

Simon Jones

PERSONAL TRAINER / Always having a passion to keep fit and healthy Simon knew from an early age a career in an office was never going to be his future. Simon has a passion for removing myths and educating people that although there are many articles coming out weekly about what you can and cannot eat, understanding your own body is first and foremost the most important. “Eat healthy natural food in a respectable quantity. It's what we have been doing since the beginning of time. What you put into your system effects your system internally and externally.” A no nonsense attitude, when training with Simon it’s a case of get in, do your hard work and then get on with the rest of your day. Simon’s clients results speak for themselves and he has already established himself as not only a conditioning trainer but also a body transformation coach.

PERSONAL TRAINER / Lyanne is passionate about “helping everyone discover how great their bodies are designed to feel!” As she states, most people haven't yet experienced how amazing their bodies can feel and operate when fuelled with the right nutrition and physical activity. Her mission is to help as many of her clients as possible achieve this. Her determination lies in transforming a client’s mindset and body using a combination of coaching, resistance training and metabolic interval training. Lyanne enjoys power lifting, HIIT and functional training and believes that by combining these methods clients can gain both strength and the toned, defined look they desire whilst maintaining flexibility. In the future she hopes to qualify as a life coach to compliment her position as a personal Trainer. Lyanne’s qualifications include Fitness Instruction, Level 3 Personal Training, Real life Nutrition, SAQ Training, core and functional training, Power Plate Pro 7, Kettle Bells and TRX along with anatomy, physiology and diplomas in dance and performing arts . Active from a young age, Lyanne enjoyed many sports, including playing football for her school. She knew she wanted to combine her passion with a career and to that end studied PE and Dance at GCSE level. Lyanne went on to train professionally in dance and Personal Training, performing on cruise ships and running her own bootcamp classes in her home town. A break from her chosen career to have a family, resulted in Lyanne gaining excess body fat. In addition, after the birth of her second child she suffered a minor stroke which threatened her health. She knew she needed to regain her health and fitness and help others to do the same. Now back to full health, Lyanne gets great satisfaction from the kind words and amazing results of clients she coaches. Helping a client to lose 10kg and return to a healthy state and their pre children body shape is one of her most memorable transformations to date. Her client says: “Lyanne is more than my personal trainer, she is my life coach and I could not have achieved this without her constant support and encouragement. I wish I had found her sooner!”

PERSONAL TRAINER / With a longstanding passion for health and fitness, combined with past experience as a professional handball player, Tanya chose Personal Training as the perfect career to help her guide others to achieving their goals. Tanya specialises in overall fitness and weight loss, as well as Pilates and Pre and Post Natal Training, making her an excellent choice for mums looking to maintain a healthy body, during and after pregnancy. She cites her proudest moment as a Personal Trainer as when she received her first piece of feedback from a client, who said “she has transformed my body, which has transformed my life. I often think now that the back pain which led me to start working out with Tanya was one of the best things that happened to me.” Tanya says her favourite part of working for No1 Fitness is the supportive team of Trainers, and is currently broadening her skill set by studying to be a Life Coach.

PERSONAL TRAINER / Jamie grew up with a love of football, which in turn led him into Personal Training, as he wanted to share his own enjoyment of sports and living a healthy lifestyle with others. Jamie specialises in weight loss, movement, and body transformations, and says that his proudest moment to date was helping a mother of two go from 100kg down to 67kg and develop strength over 10 months. According to Jamie, seeing the physical change in her, coinciding with her confidence sky rocket, made it a really special achievement for him. Jamie says that his favourite thing about working at No1 Fitness is the fun environment to work in, making it a friendly and inviting place for clients to train.

PERSONAL TRAINER / Teddy is perfectly placed to help clients seeking a body transformation, because that’s exactly what motivated her to become a Personal Trainer and Nutrition Expert herself. Having transformed her own body, she developed a passion for training and its effects on her body, and wanted to pass it on to others. Teddy specialises in body composition, powerlifting and overall strength and conditioning, alongside being a No1 Fitness Nutrition adviser. She describes the gratitude and appreciation from clients that she’s helped as being the driving force behind her role as a Personal Training, describing how empowering it is to know that she can help change people’s lives, for the better. As she says, the role of a Personal Trainer also involves building up a real understanding of the psyche of her clients, which is why she places equal importance on building up rapport from the outset. Teddy says her favourite part of working for No1 Fitness is the fact that the team is united in being serious about getting results, whilst still fostering a friendly and fun environment.

Karol (Carl) Ozimkowski

PERSONAL TRAINER / Having moved from his native Poland Carl carried on his pursuit of becoming one of the worlds most respected and skilled boxing professionals. Better known in Poland for his Kick Boxing antics Carl was 5 time National Kick Boxing champion along with taking a Bronze medal at the European Championships. Carl has recently signed a professional contract and will be taking his boxing to the next level and hopefully we will be seeing many more trophies to come. If you’d love to learn the true art of which Boxing is then there is no better coach/trainer in London. Carl’s undoubted attention during his clients training journey has made Carl one of the most popular trainers at both studios.
