PERSONAL TRAINER / I have over 14 years experience in the fitness industry. My background is in kickboxing. I have trained with many British and world champions and am myself a former British title holder in kickboxing and a 3rd Dan black belt. I bring my knowledge and passion into sessions to motivate and empower my clients. I am really passionate towards my training. I will help and motivate you to achieve all of your goals safely by setting you targets with new and fun routines. PERSONAL TRAINER / I've been interested in health and fitness for a long time. As a child I was passionate about gymnastics and was inspired to learn more about the effects of exercise by my brother, who did a sport degree. After completing my GCSEs I went to college to study sport, chemistry and maths. I then attended the University of Cumbria where I completed a degree in sport and exercise science. When I finished training full time for gymnastics, I went from training and being in the gym 5-6 times a week doing roughly 20 hours of exercise per week to doing barely anything. I began to battle with my weight which caused low self-esteem. But I decided enough was enough and changed my lifestyle. I do understand how you may feel towards your first gym session, but trust me when I say it is ALL worth it. That first session may be the hardest but it is the way forward in your life. Through the gym I have gained much more confidence in myself and have achieved my goals in life. I plan on developing myself mentally and physically and helping you to be happier, healthier and more active. PERSONAL TRAINER / I'm here to help you achieve your goals and take you to the next level. I specialise in weight loss and toning, gaining muscle mass, achieving greater success through sport and general health and wellbeing. I like to make my session fun as well as challenging for all my clients regardless of their goals. I've been a big fan of getting fit since I started playing rugby aged 7. Since then I've played at club and semi-professional levels. I completed my Level 2 fitness instructor and circuit training courses with Wigan Warriors, where I realised that fitness was the career that I wanted to pursue. Since then I've gained Level 3 personal training and nutrition qualifications. On a personal level I've been training solidly in the gym for the past three years. PERSONAL TRAINER / I started playing basketball at high school, and ultimately reached national level representing England. I later fought competitively in boxing and MMA (mixed martial arts) matches before joining the RAF. While serving in the armed forces I represented the RAF at basketball and boxing. After leaving the service I became a personal trainer. PERSONAL TRAINER / I have been involved in sports all my life, starting from a young age playing football and field hockey. I played both, at university and for Warrington. I started training in karate at the age of 4 and learnt for more than 10 years under Sensei Ged Dolan in Renshinkai, even training with Teruo Chinen who was a prominent Okinawan Master of Goju-ryu Karate. I started boxing training at the age of 13 and have continued training since, now at Hook & Jab with Amanda Groake who has worked with the GB women’s boxing squad since 2011 and is the highest qualified female boxing coach in the England. Training in martial arts taught me patience and discipline. I am also passionate about skiing and snowboarding. I have over 15 years’ experience and competed in some amateur downhill and boardercross competitions in my early 20s. Want to get your legs and lungs ready for the mountains?
