Jamie Kennedy

PERSONAL TRAINER / ‘Your body is your most precious asset -Who would you trust with it?’ / Jamie began his career in Health and Fitness as a football coach in Burnley from where he progressed to work as a Fitness Instructor at Burnley Football Club. From there he progressed into Personal Training working with clients ranging from people looking to generally improve fitness to current Premier League footballers. Jamie also managed two local leisure facilities overseeing a wide range of adult and children’s fitness programmes. Current qualifications include Advanced Gym Instruction (level 3) , Nutrition (level 3), Studio Cycling, Fitness Assessment, Body Pump and recently Jamie became a member of the UKSCA (the UK Strength and Conditioning Association) combining modules in weight lifting for sports performance, planning conditioning programmes and Plyometrics. This along with a wealth of experience in personal training and fitness programming has made Jamie a well recognised professional in the the industry. He has also featured extensively in the media as a fitness expert passing on a wide variety of performance enhancement tips. Since opening FX Fitness Experience in November 2011, Jamie now manages this rapidly growing business whilst still working with a range of clients with diverse personal training and fitness goals. His approach as a personal trainer is to tailor your workouts to suit your lifestyle and aspirations. No two people have the same circumstances so you need a customised programme tailored to you and your situation. As your personal trainer his goal is to train your body and mind, by teaching you the fundamentals of fitness, helping you to establish a routine that you will stick to and ultimately achieve your personal goals. PERSONAL TRAINER / Josh began his Career in the health and fitness industry at Burnley Football Club where he worked as a gym instructor. By the age of 18 he had qualified as a personal trainer, working with a range of clients, at several fitness facilities before the opening of the Fitness Experience in November 2011. Current qualifications include BSc Sport and Exercise Science, Level 3 Personal Training, Level 3 nutritional advisor, Level 4 GP Referral, Kettlebell instructor and more. Josh is currently an associate member of the UK Strength and Conditioning Association (UKSCA), working toward accreditation. Josh’s dissertation for his degree in sport and exercise science had a focus on client achievement within a personal training facility. These qualifications, coupled with his extensive practical experience, provide a wealth of knowledge to break through plateaus and help any individual achieve their fitness goals. To ensure maximum benefit from his Sports Science Qualification and support his Personal Training programmes he set up a successful sport’s nutrition and Supplements Company (Fitness Experience Nutrition and Supplements Ltd.) in early 2013, to ensure all clients receive first rate, appropriate and science based nutritional advice. Josh’s approach to personal training ensures maximum progression from all clients, managing what is realistic for that client and their current lifestyle coupled with intensive contact. Josh understands the importance of individualised nutrition and training plans, as people may react differently to the same stimuli. The importance of proper movement is a priority and essential for continuing development and so technique is essential on all exercise routines. This training must then be coupled with appropriate nutrition to ensure maximum recovery and progression towards goals. PERSONAL TRAINER / ‘I will work with your strengths to build your confidence & give you that feel good factor’ / Andrew first started out as a fitness instructor in 2005 at Burnley Football Club where he worked closely with clients with widely varied levels of ability. This ranged from Children and Adults with various disabilities right through to professional sportsmen. Andy pursued and completed his Personal Training qualifications and went on to develop a standalone P.T. business as well as creating and delivering Coaching programmes for Juveniles. In addition to his Personal Training qualifications Andy also holds qualifications as a Level 3 Health Trainer, Level 3 Nutrition, Body Pump Trainer and Kettle Bell Instructor. Andy is also a keen Boxing and Martial Arts exponent and is known to incorporate his range of skills in this area to many of the programmes he offers. This coupled with his 9 years in the industry allows Andy to bring additional components to the FX offering. Since joining the Fitness Experience in January 2012, Andy now works closely with up to thirty clients at any given time. Following his initial consultation he designs bespoke programmes which are explained, tracked and evaluated. He recognises that each person is different and all need varying degrees of care and personal support. In line with Fitness Experience philosophy Andy knows each of his clients personally which gives him the ability to assess their barriers to exercise and then build and coach a programme based on them and no one else. PERSONAL TRAINER / '50% effort gives you 50% results I’m giving 100% are you?' / Alex has always been interested in health and fitness and the way the body works. As soon as he was old enough to join a gym he did and could see improvements from the efforts he was putting in from the little knowledge he knew. He wanted to learn more about the workouts so he employed a personal trainer and the difference it made was incredible. He wanted to share what he had done with more people so he booked onto a Personal Training course and the rest is history. Being a self-employed trainer to managing a gym with over 2000 members in a matter of months he found his passion and continues to show that passion today. To further his knowledge and his advice to clients and members he took a sports massage diploma and his training took a more holistic approach. Helping improve people to move and be pain free was fundamental in achieving ones goals, be it fat loss or muscle gain. Through this holistic approach he has been advising clients on nutrition, exercise and lifestyle for over 6 years. Alex’s main qualifications include Qualified Personal Trainer, Level 3 Sports Therapist Diploma, Various Functional fitness qualifications (VIPR Bar, Kettlebell, Group Training) and various other specialism’s. Alex has also completed programmes designed by the globally recognised holistic health coach Paul Chek in the area of Programme Design and Functional core. Alex’s personal development planning is to develop advanced expertise in the area of nutrition (healing the body from the inside) and alternative therapies to compliment the services he offers. He also recognises the need to maintain his personal fitness by ensuring he is pushing himself to his boundaries. PERSONAL TRAINER / Sue has worked at Fitness Experience since it opened its doors in 2011 and has always had a keen interest in the benefits of exercise and nutrition. In 1991 Sue received her first relevant qualifications as an Exercise to Music Instructor. Sue taught Aerobics, Step and Aqua Aerobics and delivered exercise to music in some of East Lancashire’s most popular fitness centre’s. Since then, whilst taking a break from teaching Sue has completed a number of marathons and half marathons whilst fundraising for Multiple Sclerosis (M.S) charities . Sue currently holds full qualifications in Personal Training, UK Athletics running coach, G.P Referral, Level 4 in Exercise Management for Lower Back Pain, Pilates and more recently Ante and Post Natal Care. Sue is a member on the Register of Exercise Professionals and Pilates Instructor Register. There are many ‘personal Trainers’ who have qualifications pertaining to them as Personal Trainers and Sue understands how difficult it is for people to choose a trainer who will motivate them to get the results they seek.. Her passion is however to provide a truly personal service to clients so that they feel comfortable in their training environment which in turn will inspire and help people to achieve their personal fitness goals. To support this Sue continues to relentlessly pursue further skills and qualifications. This facilitates the use of a holistic approach to develop fitness levels and bespoke training programmes which combine her knowledge of Pilates, Nutrition and Muscular Strength and Endurance Training to ensure positive results for each individual client. Sue also takes a number of 4:1 Personal Training small Group classes to assist members (and non members) to achieve goals. Regardless of your starting point I want to help you on your fitness journey!' / Adam started his life in fitness as a footballer growing up in the Burnley youth system. He worked his way through to be captain of the youth and reserve team before signing professional papers to be involved in the first team for 2 years in the season Burnley got promoted into the premier league. From his involvement in football he has knowledge and participated in fitness based training, strength training, sports specific training, plyometrics, nutrition, physiotherapy, fitness testing, body analysis and knows the demands of being a professional sportsman. Adam met Jamie Kennedy around 8 years ago in the gym regularly used by Burnley F.C. Jamie helped Adam with his strength and fitness goals whilst playing football thus igniting Adam’s interest in the industry. Since leaving Burnley Adam has helped friends with advice, training programs and nutrition so with encouragement from Jamie, the natural progression was to become a Personal Trainer and help people achieve their goal. Adam has now passed his level 2 gym instructor and level 3 personal training courses and is ready to put you through your paces. But be prepared to work hard! He is very enthusiastic and passionate about helping clients with training, nutrition and general advice to help them achieve their goals.
