David Gooch, BSC (HONS) GSR

David Gooch, BSC (HONS) GSR

David has been a keen athlete and rugby league player for over 15 years now, with representative honors at county, national and international level. Alongside Core David works with Super League club Salford City Reds as a Sports Rehabilitator, providing him with a vast amount of experience in his field. David has also had spells with Warrington Wolves and Southampton Football Club. David is an extremely motivated and dedicated trainer, which can be seen with his personal sporting and professional achievements. Such traits are valuable assets in any trainer and when combined with David’s qualifications, ensure his clients gain the most from their sessions obtaining the best results available.

Chris Bamber, BSC (HONS) CSCS

Chris Bamber, BSC (HONS) CSCS

Chris Bamber is a personal trainer with a wealth of experience training both professional athletes and the general public. Since graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Applied Sports Science Chris has worked as a conditioner for Salford City Reds, as well as offering sports science support and conditioning advice to other professional teams, including Manchester City, Lancashire County Cricket and Sale Sharks. During this time period Chris was also involved in lecturing on the Applied Sports Science course at Salford University as well as undertaking a number of research projects, one of which was published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research. In order to continually develop his knowledge base and to stay abreast of all the developments in the conditioning and training world Chris has continued to study. He is currently two thirds of the way through an MSc in Strength and Conditioning and has recently become accredited by the UK Strength and Conditioning Association. All of this experience makes him a valued member of the Core team.

Mike Pearce

Mike is an established and experienced personal trainer based in Manchester, specialising in weight loss,nutrition and small group training. Mike’s ambition is to use his passion for health and fitness to give people the opportunity to make a positive and permanent change to their lifestyle and achieve the goals they have always wanted. Whatever your fitness goal Mike is committed to supporting you through your journey with a bespoke training programme designed to push you to new limits and get results whilst still remaining fun and enjoyable. Mike is Core Conditionings running expert having completed numerous races including the Virgin London Marathon in 2013 in under 3 hour 30 minutes and is due to complete IRONMAN UK in 2014. Mike is proud to have many clients who now share his passion for running, So whether you are looking to run your first 5km race or improve your marathon time Mike will use his experience and knowledge to get you to the start line chasing another PB.

Matt Leah BSC (HONS)

Matt is a graduate in sports therapy, after completing a his first degree in Sport and Exercise Science Matt has progressed into Sports Therapy and subsequently completed his BSc (Hons) in Sports Therapy. Matt has years of experience working with local amateur, semi professional and elite level athletes, including Huddersfield Giants RLFC and Melbourne Chargers RUFC. Matts excellent knowledge and skill sets gives him the ability to assess injury, follow this with specific treatment, sports / deep massage treatments and furthermore devise a tailored rehabilitation program to meet the individual requirements of his clients.

Elliot strives to deliver a complete and specific Personal Training service. Throughout my career, I have trained with some of the world’s elite Fitness and Performance Coaches, and studied some of the most recognised qualifications available. This has given me an understanding of a wide variety of techniques and methods, which have allowed me to achieve the highest level of results with my clients. His approach to training centers around one word, improvement. Every time you train, you should be in fierce competition with the you from yesterday.

However, I understand that with today’s modern lifestyle, it can be difficult to find the time to exercise and doing something that is physically demanding can become taxing. My aim as a Personal Trainer is to help you discover ways of incorporating fitness into your lifestyle, whilst similarly making the time we spend together 100% effective in leading you quickly, towards your goals. Your time is valuable, so having someone fully qualified by your side while training ensures you’re on the right path to achieving your goals and can help to keep things fun as well as challenging. What was once a hobby has turned into a lifestyle which I am truly proud of and I can honestly say every day I wake up in the best shape of my life.
